My work is a collection of symbols. Figures, birds, flowers, foliage and envelopes function like text to trigger response and connections. In these paintings I invite viewers to make their own interpretations and connections with the visual clues in the images. Like moments in time, memories and dreams, the figures and images serve as starters for dialogue with the viewer.

    Hello Mr. Ragsdale,

Last year at the State Fair, you exhibited a painting called “The Wedding March.” I have always regretted not purchasing the painting, and am wondering if you still have it in your possession- and if so, what is the price?

    Thank you,

    June Hoyer

Hello, Kyle! I have been appreciating your work since I moved to Indy on 05. I attend most First Fridays at the Harrison Center and always stop in with my girl friends. I think you would recognize me but not my name. I want to stop in to talk to you this coming Friday because I have been commissioned to paint a large abstract and had to buy 5 canvases which are 48^60. Tough on the cash flow and I wondered if you might be interested in buying 2 or3 of them. I bought them from Cheap Joes and they are 1 1/2″ frames. Each frame figured at less than $100 each.

I will stop in on Friday and if you want to email me that would be fine! Thanks!

I enjoy your work. I began noticing the IRT ads and realized that I had seen other of your paintings. Especially the dancers in the air. Best wishes to you,
    Sonnie Burger
